Simulation of Gross Primary Productivity Using Multiple Light Use Efficiency Models

چکیده
Gross primary productivity (GPP) is the most basic variable in a carbon cycle study that determines enters ecosystem. The remote sensing-based light use efficiency (LUE) model one of tools currently used to estimate GPP at regional scale. Many models have been developed last several decades, and these well evaluated some sites. However, an accurate estimation remains challenging work using LUE because uncertainties caused by parameters, forcing, vegetation spatial heterogeneity. In this study, five widely models, Glo-PEM, VPM, EC-LUE, MODIS algorithm, C-fix, were selected simulate Heihe River Basin forced situ measurements. A multiple-model averaging method, Bayesian (BMA), was combine obtain more reliable estimation. BMA trained flux data from eddy covariance towers located dominant types area. Generally, method performed better than any single model. From case area, it indicated efficient multiple can improve simulation accuracy.

Gross primary productivity is one of the most important factors in the carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystems. With global warming increase, the frequent drought events and the specific response of regional vegetation to these changes, it is essential to identify and quantify the relationships between climatic and GPP data in arid region. In this study, the responses of gross primary productivi...

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Global Mapping of Terrestrial Primary Productivity and Light-Use Efficiency with a Process-Based Model
The carbon dynamics of terrestrial ecosystems was globally simulated with a mechanistic model, Sim-CYCLE, at a spatial resolution of 0.5° × 0.5° in longitude and latitude. Gross photosynthetic production (GPP), net primary production (NPP), carbon storage, absorption of photosynthetically active radiation (APAR), and light-use efficiency (LUE) were addressed. Assuming an equilibrium state under...
